pictable education in action:
Wild & Wacky Art Adventure

The Hannibal Arts Council sponsors the Wild & Wacky Art Adventure each year in downtown Hannibal. The event is aimed to get kids interested and active in creating art. It gets messy, sometimes it gets real messy. A pictable was created by artist Todd Damotte and then a canvas of the same size was laid out on the level of the kids for them to try their hand at painting. From brushes to fingers, a rainbow of colors captured all of the subject matter and the imaginations of hundreds of children. It was a proverbial graffiti wall of elementary creations of classic animals, abstract shapes and hand prints. These future artisans were getting one of their first tastes of art at its rawest and most enjoyable moments. It was a collaborative masterpiece!
